About PLTR
Why PLTR exists

PT Lampung Tanam Rumput (PLTR) was established to address a fundamental rural challenge: degraded and underutilised land that has lost its productivity, economic value and ability to support sustainable livelihoods.
PLTR restores land by improving soil conditions and establishing productive vegetation systems based on grasses, legumes, seedlings and commercial biomass. Our approach is designed to improve soil functionality, increase productive land cover and convert previously underperforming land into agricultural infrastructure that can supply raw materials to livestock, feed and agricultural businesses.
Unlike short-term land rehabilitation projects, PLTR connects restoration with a commercial operating model. Revenue from forage, biomass, seedlings, cultivation, processing, storage and land-management services provides an economic incentive to maintain and expand restored land.
Rural women are integrated into the operating model as paid nursery operators, cultivation workers, land-maintenance teams, harvesting and processing workers, warehouse operators and local suppliers. This enables women to gain practical skills, recurring income and access to formal agricultural supply chains.
